SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 28 Oct. (EUROPE PRESS) –
UGT-SP Canarias has called a strike in non-university public educational centers in response to the proposal to stabilize the teaching staff made by the Canarian Executive.
The dates established by the sector are as follows: November 14, 21 and 28 and December 5, 12 and 19. The hours established for these stoppages will be between 12:00 and 2:00 p.m.; 4:00 p.m./8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m./11:00 p.m.
This mobilization is carried out after analyzing the consultation carried out with public teachers, which began on October 14, through which it was intended to know the feelings of the group regarding the position raised by the Canarian Executive.
“The colleagues and colleagues with their response have made it clear that they are fed up and that they need the work done over the years to be recognized in this stabilization process,” said Francisco Bautista, general secretary of SP UGT Canarias.
For this federation, it is key that the Canary Islands leave the coordination table for the stabilization process and that their own bases be established. “This is not new, since this formula is applied in other sectors such as health and has served, precisely, to stabilize the position of many workers. For this reason, we do not understand that the situation does not occur or is not wanted promote in education,” said Bautista.
From the Federation it is understood that it is necessary for the Canary Islands, like other autonomous communities, to go it alone in the call for the job stabilization offer and thus establish its own scoring scale.
The UGT-SP regrets having to go to this extreme, being aware of the setbacks that this can cause, and reserves the right to extend the calendar of actions.
