The mayor of Commerce in the City Council, Felipe David Benítez (CC), explains that the location will be distributed between two central spaces such as the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and the Plaza de la Constitución or the kiosk to reduce crowds. Both spaces will be open simultaneously between 10:00 and 20:00 on the last Sunday in September.
These two venues will improve capacity control and compliance “with all guarantees” of health protocols, although it will not be necessary to withdraw tickets previously. The local government does ask for “patience when access has to be stopped due to capacity control.”
Benítez emphasizes that in this edition there will be no children’s activities or musical shows “in order to avoid crowding.” Yes there will be ambient music. The intention is that the stalls of the participating businesses can be visited with tranquility and comfort, although due to the pandemic “testers will not be installed either.”
The Town Council, which will pay for the recycled paper bags for participating businesses, highlights the importance of Diversaldo in promoting local commerce. In addition, this fair has become an opportunity to sell off-season items and to liquidate the stock of previous years in a wide variety of products, from textiles to household appliances, shoe stores, toys, jewelery or used vehicles.
