Transportes Interurbanos de Tenerife (Titsa), a company of the Cabildo Insular de Tenerife, and the City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife signed this week the deeds of sale of the land on which the headquarters and workshops of the transport company located in White Caves.
A document that was signed by the president of Titsa, Enrique Arriaga, and the first deputy mayor and councilor for Territory Planning, Guillermo Díaz Guerra. A transaction that is carried out for an amount of 2,438,232 euros.
Enrique Arriaga points out that “for the Cabildo it was vital to put an end to this irregular situation. It is inconceivable that a building like the one in Cuevas Blancas would have been built, that the owner of the land had not left and that, after two decades, the situation had not been regularized. For this reason, the Cabildo transferred the necessary funds to Titsa so that the sale could be executed”. To this he adds that, “with the acquisition of the land, the company increases its solvency before third parties, by being able to count on all its assets”.
For his part, Guillermo Díaz Guerra highlights that “this sale represents an income from the sale of public land assets and logically it will be used for any of the assumptions included in the Land Law, including the one destined to improve the protected housing stock public”.
Both Arriaga and Díaz Guerra value the predisposition between the parties to reach this historic agreement. At the beginning of this mandate, both administrations began to work together to reach an agreement.
