The III Solidarity Event of the Villa Feliz charity association, formed by a group of lawyers from Tenerife, brought together 200 people at the Amarilla Golf Club (San Miguel) including magistrates, judges, prosecutors, lawyers, notaries and registrars, in order to raise funds that will go entirely to projects to help children in Tenerife and the Dominican Republic.
Both the president of the association, Juan Pablo Carlos Barett, and the vice president, the Tenerife judge María de los Ángeles De Lorenzo-Cáceres Farizo, underlined the “success” of the meeting and thanked the large number of guests and the participation of sponsoring companies, artists and workers. “We are very happy with the result and with the extraordinary atmosphere that was experienced in this third edition of the event”, they affirmed.
The attendees enjoyed a day that included performances by acrobats, dancers, violinists and the interpretation of opera by Carmen Acosta, in addition to savoring the “gastronomic show” by Alberto González Margallo, chef and owner of the San Sebastián 57 restaurant, which surprised again with a menu of delicacies that delighted those present.
The painting by the painter Celestino Mesa, auctioned to raise funds and inspired by the recent eruption of La Palma, was acquired by the notary Nicolás Quintana, the first godfather of the association.
The event was attended by a representative of the recipients of aid for educational projects, Ricardo Acosta, director of the La Vega school, in Icod de los Vinos, a public center that will use the next funds to provide its students with technological tools with the creation of a computer room. In addition, soon several collaborators of the association will visit the school to reinforce the help to families and children without economic resources.
The association reiterated its thanks to Encuentro Moda, Grupo Pida, Egatesa, BMW, Grupo Número 1, Benetton, La Compostelana, Heinecken, Royal Bliss, Grupo Martínez, El Gusto por el Vino, Habana Club, Geremar, Musicanarias and Liveevents.
