Numerous citizens went yesterday to the Adeje cemetery to say goodbye to Javier Bello Esquivel, former regional deputy for the AIC, former councilor of the Cabildo and former councilor of Adeje, who died unexpectedly on Sunday at the age of 62.
His death has caused great pain in the South, where he was a well-known and appreciated person for his professional career and his human quality. A lawyer for 38 years, with an office on Antonio Domínguez Avenue, he was considered one of the best specialists in horizontal property law. Married to Teresa Espinosa and father of two children, Javier and Sofía, his relatives and acquaintances agree in highlighting his simplicity, his closeness, his charisma and his joking character.
“Although we had different positions, we always had a meeting point: our love for Adeje”, said the mayor Jose Miguel Rodriguez Fragawhile CC in Adeje underlined the “joy, humility and immense heart of a man who fought for his municipality, for Tenerife and who contributed to a better Canary Islands”.
The national deputy Ana Oramas referred to him as “a mainstay of his beloved Adeje, always smiling and affectionate”, while former parliamentarian José Manuel Pitti reminded him “from affection and admiration”. “He gave me his generous help and his decisive collaboration when I had to carry out the same responsibility,” he indicated.
