90,000 EUROS FOR THE FEEDING OF BEES
The Cabildo de Tenerife has resolved the call for 90,000 euros to feed the bees. The grant will benefit a total of 555 beekeeping farms, which translates into 15,588 hives, 9 percent more than in 2021.
“We are lucky to have a rich and quality variety of honey on the island, which is an added value to our gastronomy, in addition to the pollination work essential for our crops, so we must correctly assess the production and maintenance of our cabin and protect her in the most difficult moments”, affirms Javier Parrilla.
The main objective of this aid is to defray the expenses for the acquisition of specific complementary foods for bees, rich in sugars, proteins and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) that allow them to improve their nutritional status and thus contribute to preserving the herd. beekeeping of Tenerife.
