SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 19 (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Minister of Employment, Socioeconomic Development and Foreign Action of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Carmen Luz Baso, presented this Wednesday to representatives of the island’s business sector the new line of aid, worth 320,000 euros, with which the island corporation wants to promote the implementation of projects aimed at improving competitiveness, innovation and business cooperation.

The meeting, held in person and online, was attended by representatives of the Association of Self-Employed (ATA), the Association of Young Entrepreneurs (AJE), the Circle of Entrepreneurs of the South (CEST) and the Association of Entrepreneurs of Santa Úrsula (SUpyme) , in addition to sector associations of tourism and commerce, such as Ashotel and Fauca, among others.

As explained by Carmen Luz Baso, “the objective is to strengthen collaboration with associations, federations and business confederations, which are the ones who know the interests and main needs of companies more closely, with the aim of continuing to support the productive fabric of the island , especially the self-employed and companies with less than 10 jobs”.

In this context, he recalled that the projects financed with this line must benefit a minimum of 20 companies or freelancers belonging to one or several sectors and added that the projects financed must be related to three areas of action such as digital transformation, the implementation of improvements in management and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in companies on the island of Tenerife.

The counselor also pointed out the inclusion of certain requirements with which the Cabildo intends that the beneficiary projects have a supra-municipal territorial impact, facilitating the participation of any company, whether associated or not.

As stated in the call, published in the Provincial Bulletin of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (BOP) on October 12, the subsidy per project ranges between a minimum of 25,000 euros and a maximum of 50,000 euros, with which it can be covered the expenses derived, among others, from the hiring of personnel linked to the project, as well as its dissemination and management, collects a note from the Cabildo.

The deadline for submitting applications ends on Thursday, October 27 and the projects must be submitted electronically through the electronic headquarters of the Cabildo.
