SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 18 Oct. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Young Business Talents educational business simulation program has begun the registration period to search for young Canarians with business talent who want to participate in the twelfth edition of its national Business Game contest and compete for the title of ‘best virtual entrepreneur in the country’.
This initiative, organized by ABANCA, ESIC, Herbalife Nutrition and Praxis MMT, gives thousands of students from all over Spain the opportunity to immerse themselves in an innovative and exclusive educational experience that allows them to experience business management first-hand, becoming authentic managers by having to run their own company on the Internet with the use of an advanced business management simulator valued at more than 3,000 euros.
During the last edition, a total of 359 students from thirteen schools in the Canary Islands participated, who had to compete against a total of 10,423 young people from 392 schools throughout Spain. Considering the participation by provinces, Las Palmas had a representation of 304 students from ten educational centers and from Santa Cruz de Tenerife 55 young people from three educational centers competed. Finally, the victory went to three students from the IES San Tomé de Freixeiro in Pontevedra, who were proclaimed winners in the national final.
“This unique gamification project in Spain allows students to gain experience through practice. Young people are immersed in an environment that simulates the real experience of what is experienced on a day-to-day basis when managing a company, so that they experience and reflect on the decisions they make, without fear of making mistakes and that they can learn from mistakes. An opportunity that allows them to understand the theory and apply it, learn in a playful way, add value to their curriculum, and help them in orientation towards their future”, explains Mario Martínez, director of Young Business Talents.
Participating educational centers will receive free business management simulators, the same ones used in universities, business schools and leading companies. In this way, they will be able to put into practice the use of this exclusive tool, developed by the company Praxis MMT, in their classes, becoming an opportunity that both students, teachers and educational centers can benefit from, to make their classes more attractive.
The period to participate will remain open until October 31, and is intended for students in the 4th year of ESO, Baccalaureate or intermediate or higher level training cycles, from any Spanish educational center, aged between 15 and 21 years. Among the best teams, more than 11,000 euros will be distributed in prizes between students and teachers, as well as accrediting diplomas.
After the inscriptions, the Business Game will begin and the young people will have to compete online from the classrooms and with the help of their teachers, in different eliminatory phases between the months of November to March, to get a place in the national final that will have place next April in person.
