Thus lightning and thunder silenced Lancelot

As predicted by the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) Lanzarote recorded last Saturday, October 16, a night of great stormy activity. Throughout the night the island recorded a high number of lightning and thunder which were accompanied by scattered showers and strong local gusts of wind.

The Aemet announces slightly cloudy skies in general with intervals of high and low clouds in the north and east of the islands of greater relief, minimum temperatures in slight decrease in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura and maximum in slight rise, more pronounced in high areas of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, which could be moderate.

The wind it will be light in a variable direction, turning northeast and strengthening to moderate in the eastern province by the end of the day.

In summitslight wind from the southwest during the first half of the day, intensifying during the second half, although in the power stations of Tenerife it will be strong with very strong gusts, especially at the end of the day.

As for the state of the sea, it announces a variable wind of force 1 to 3, temporarily a northerly component of force 2 to 4, rough seas or swells and a north swell with waves of 1 meter, tending to increase to 2 meters in the north at the end and haze in the eastern islands, although occasional downpours with storms and regular visibility are expected in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.

LANZAROTE

Little cloudy in general with intervals of high clouds. Minimum temperatures in slight decrease, the maximum in slight rise. Loose wind of variable direction turning to the northeast and intensifying to moderate at the end of the day.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): Reef 18 28

FUERTEVENTURA

Little cloudy in general with intervals of high clouds. Minimum temperatures in slight decrease more pronounced in interior areas of the southern half, the maximum in slight rise. Loose wind of variable direction turning to the northeast and intensifying to moderate at the end of the day.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): Puerto del Rosario 19 27

GRAND CANARY

Little cloudy with intervals of high clouds in general and occasionally low clouds on the north slope. Minimum temperatures without changes, the maximum in a slight rise, more pronounced in high areas where the rise could be moderate. Light wind of variable direction turning to the northeast and intensifying to moderate at the end of the day; in summits, light wind from the southwest, intensifying during the second half of the day.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 20 25

TENERIFE

Intervals of high clouds in general and low clouds on the north and east slopes. Minimum temperatures without changes, the maximum in a slight rise, more pronounced in high areas where the rise could be moderate. Loose wind of variable direction with a predominance of the northeast on the eastern slope; in central summits, light southwest wind during the first half of the day increasing to strong with very strong gusts starting at noon.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): Santa Cruz de Tenerife 21 27

LA GOMERA

Intervals of high clouds in general and occasionally of low ones on the northern slope. Temperatures with little change. Variable direction light wind; in summits, light wind from the south, turning to the southwest and intensifying during the second half of the day.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): San Sebastián de la Gomera 22 26

THE PALM

Intervals of high clouds in general and low on the north and east slopes. Minimum temperatures with few changes, the maximum slightly rising. Variable direction light wind; in summits, light wind from the south, turning to the southwest and intensifying during the second half of the day.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): Santa Cruz de la Palma 19 26

THE IRON

Intervals of high clouds in general and low on the north slope. Minimum temperatures with few changes, the maximum slightly rising. Variable direction light wind; in summits, light wind from the south, turning to the southwest and intensifying during the second half of the day.

FORECAST MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): Valverde 16 22
