Two fighter planes They flew over Tenerife this Thursday, surprising many residents of the Island. And despite the fact that it is not the first time, seeing these devices flying through the sky in the direction of La Laguna continues to attract the attention of citizens.

night workouts

The presence of warplanes in the Islands is nothing new, although it is not usual to see them fly through the airspace of the Canary Islands. Last July, five EF-18M Hornet aircraft from the 15th Wing of Zaragoza spent a week carrying out night training in the Canary Islands together with the F-18s from the 46th Wing, in charge of defending the Canary airspace.

During this period, “complex night trainings have been carried out, in which both offensive missions (OCA – Offensive Counter Air) and defensive missions (DCA – Defensive Counter Air) will be carried out, very demanding missions, especially when there is a greater number of aircraft in the air”, as detailed then by the Canary Islands Air Command through a statement.

How could it be otherwise, the islanders have commented on this curiosity in their profiles on social networks, most highlighting the noise of the aircraft. @DailosPrivadafor example, noted on Twitter that “military fighters do not stop flying over Tenerife, it’s horrible, the sound they make.”
