The Canarian Agency for the Protection of the Natural Environment (ACPMN), belonging to the Ministry of Ecological Transition, Fight against Climate Change and Territorial Planning of the Government of the Canary Islands, has proceeded to fence and seal off an illegal subdivision of more than 150,000 square meters on rustic agricultural land in which, supposedly, , it was intended to urbanize by way of events, specifically, in the area of Lomo Negro, in the municipality of Arona.
This action has been possible thanks to the collaboration of this regional department, the local Police of the Arona City Council and the General Corps of the Canarian Police throughout the procedure, according to the information provided by the regional Executive.

The regional councilor responsible for the Area, José Antonio Valbuena, recalled that “these infractions can be sanctioned with fines of up to 300,000 euros in very serious cases, as established by Law 4/2017, of July 13, on Land and Natural Spaces Protected from the Canary Islands”.
