The deputy of the Canarian Nationalist Group (CC-PNC-AHI) Juan-Manuel García Ramos yesterday notified the Minister of Culture, Manuela Armas, that he will monitor the commitment of the Autonomous Government with the works of the Nava’s Palaceparked for many years, “which could house the Pedro González museum”.
The Directorate of Cultural Heritage had announced about three million euros for the project, he explained in plenary session of Parliament.
However, he stressed, “his item has been reduced to a mere 800,000 euros, for maintenance works.” Given this complaint, from Education and Culture they guarantee that by 2023 one million euros will be received from the General State Administration.
García Ramos recalled that between 2016 and 2019 “it was agreed, with a high degree of consensus, to undertake a larger work”, but that “the regional Executive has desisted from a global action and the immediate use of the property”.
