Plenilunio has become one of the reference events on the Island. And this was verified yesterday with the streets of the center of Santa Cruz de Tenerife crowded with people, in the 13 locations arranged by the City Council to enjoy an extensive program of activities cultural, leisure and gastronomic for all audiences.

Plenilunio kicked off on Friday afternoon-night with the Beer Festival, in the Alameda del Duque de Santa Elena and continued yesterday, the strongest day, with more than 100 activities and 256 hours of concerts, festivals, markets, workshops, performances, Guided tours and events.

Those interested in music were able to enjoy themselves in the Plaza de La Candelaria with Seguridad Social, Hechizo or Los 600; at Chicharro, with B-Sides, Post Code or Los Rolling del Son and at the Santa Cruz Beer Festival itself, with a stage for concerts and another for DJ’s”.

Culture also had its space in the Historical and Military Museum of Almeyda, where the airsoft workshop was held, in the Museum of History and Archeology, in the General Headquarters of the Canary Islands Command, in the TEA Tenerife, in the Espacio R and at the Guimerá theater, with the play To be or not to be, directed and starring Juan Echanove.

In the García Sanabria park, Le Good Market was located, a trend market, a children’s entertainment area and another gastronomic area with 19 stalls that continues today, while for the little ones, in the Plaza del Príncipe there were performances, children’s workshops and castles inflatables and several parades were also scheduled, departing from different parts of the city, both in the morning and in the afternoon.

After yesterday’s intense day, Plenilunio ends its revitalizing activity today. Santa Cruz Asian Festival includes some variations in the programming, such as the exhibitions of the winners of the Red Heart gala and in the case of Santa Cruz Beer Festival, in addition to the Picaretas Reggae and Escuela de Calor concerts, you can attend the performances humorous films by Abubukaka, Omayra Cazorla and Aarón Gómez.

In addition, adds the CEO of the Development Society and Councilor for Fiestas, Alfonso Cabello, the stage of the Plaza de La Candelaria will host new artists, such as Violetas, Los Diablos and Ni un pelo de idiot; and very close by, in the Plaza de España, the popular craft market will remain open.

“Santa Cruz Full Moon has become one of the events of the year for our municipality, but also for the rest of the Island,” said the mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez. The event also seeks to give a boost to the city’s businesses and therefore, from Wednesday the Consumer Bonds can be used in any district, “so this event is an ideal reason to eat, drink, shop or book stays at half price,” he stressed.
