Putting out to tender “as soon as possible” the operation of the public establishments located in Playa Grande, in Punta Brava -better known as El Burguer-, and in El Castillo, the self-service, is the objective of the meeting held by the mayor of Puerto de la Cruz, Marco González, with the general director of the Coast and the Sea, Ana Oñoro.

The management is part of the work plan developed by the municipal government “with the administrations involved” to resolve “all unfinished files” that allow responding “to the liquidation of the public company Pamarsa.”

At the appointment, the mayor of Porto required the speeding up of the two processes that are followed in the general direction “and thus complete the files to tender the remaining hotel establishments in Playa Jardín”, and which is still run by the municipal public company Parque Marítimo SA.

The meeting, held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, in Madrid, was also attended by Ainhoa Pérez, from the Subdirectorate General for Maritime Land Public Domain, and Ángel Muñoz, from the Subdirectorate General for Coastal Protection.

The mayor influenced the process that Costas is following for the development of the new environmental assessment, which will be known in the coming months, regarding the Playa de Martiánez project. He recalls that the previous environmental assessment expired at the end of 2019, which made the agreement that the City Council signed months before with the Cabildo de Tenerife to face the tender and execution of the project unfeasible. “We are closely following everything that concerns the resumption of a key project to improve this coastal area of our city,” the mayor remarked.
