The staff for the care of the natural pools of La Laguna grows in the new contract

The City Council of La Laguna has put out to tender the contract for the provision of the maintenance, conservation and improvement service of the swimming pools of Bajamar, Arenisco and Jóver and their surroundings, as well as the maritime environment of Barranquera and access to the sea, for a total amount of 1,014,614 euros and a term of three years, plus the possibility of two extensions of one year each. , as stated in the Contractor’s Profile.

The Councilor for Beaches and Pools, Cristina Ledesma, explained that, “as a significant improvement over the previous contract, the new service will have five day laborers, which would increase the maintenance staff from three to five people, covering with greater ease and guarantees the proper functioning of the pools, their cleaning and immediate repair in the event of any damage caused by the action of the tide, while night surveillance will be carried out through security cameras”.

Characteristic

Specifically, the bidding document specifies that the maintenance service will cover facilities such as the drinking water network, interior sanitation, waste and other networks, the seawater collection network, and the surrounding urban furniture such as railings, stairs, information panels, masts, children’s games, fitness equipment for adults, pergolas, benches, litter bins, platforms or signage.

Also the maintenance of the pool basins, including the control of the quality of the water, its installations, coatings and painting, cleaning of the bottoms, algae, stones, railings and any other type of residue that may fall into the interior, and all those constructions such as offices, warehouses, bathrooms, exterior pavements or solarium, among others. In addition, maintenance, connections, transportation and installations of seasonal constructions are included.

“We maintain our commitment to reinforcing the proper functioning of the bathing areas on our coastline, improving maintenance and safety so that the users of the Jóver, La Barranquera, Bajamar and La Punta swimming pools can enjoy themselves with the maximum guarantees. ”, valued the mayor, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez.
