Rosa Dávila announces to the insular Executive of Canarian Coalition (CC) his willingness to lead the nationalist candidacy for the Cabildo de Tenerife. The deputy and secretary of the Organization of Tenerife nationalists communicates her decision for the elections to be held in May 2023. Dávila highlighted the “great team” that CC represents and asserts that “Tenerife needs to recover hope, leadership and stability.” The candidacy must be endorsed by the insular Political Council on the 28th.

The island secretary general of the Canarian Coalition, Francisco Linares, details that throughout this month a series of regional meetings will be held on the island to inform the different local committees of Rosa Dávila’s willingness to lead the Cabildo’s candidacy in the elections next May 28.

Dávila, after his announcement, points out that «We are a great team and I am proud to be able to lead the candidacy for the first institution in Tenerife. I take this step with great strength, immense desire and with the certainty that we are a great team.

Also Vice President of Parliament of the Canary Islands He had words of thanks for Carlos Alonso, present at the meeting, for his political career in the Cabildo and his great work, both in the island government and in recent years as a spokesman for the opposition.

The nationalist deputy values: “We have a Cabildo that does not manage and an island president who bows to the interests of the PSOE and does not defend the people of Tenerife.” She assures that “we are going to recover the Island and the Cabildo for the people, for the people, because Tenerife comes first.”

Dávila calls for the mobilization of nationalism so that “the Island recovers the leadership lost in these years of PSOE government.” He reflects: “We need to recover the illusion of an Island that is falling behind and has lost its position of privilege. We need a strong Tenerife, nationalist and eager to move forward.

«Tenerife is not the same since the PSOE governs. Now, the Island is lagging behind, it has lost competitiveness and there is a clear lack of investment that makes it lose weight. Political, economic and social weight due to a clear lack of leadership»Davila points out.

The Island Executive of CC also addressed the success of participation in the island meeting held at the Magma de Adeje last Saturday, where more than 1,500 people gathered. The general secretary of the Tenerife nationalists, Francisco Linares, describes the meeting as a “resounding success” and affirms that it is the reflection that “Tenerife and the Canary Islands have been mistreated by Pedro Sánchez and there are two people who have consented: Angel Victor Torres and Pedro Martin.

Linares denounces: “The latest example is the decision of the Government of Spain to extend free transportation on the Peninsula to next year.” The also mayor of La Orotava concludes: “While in Tenerife and the Canary Islands we wait for the answer so that the buses are free, already in the Peninsula they will have free trains throughout the year 2023.”
