SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 5 (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Educational Film Festival, ‘Cinedfest’, reaches its tenth edition this year with numerous novelties such as the increase in educational resources available to participants and the creation of new prizes and categories.

Along these lines, the new trophy for the Associations of Mothers and Fathers of Students (AMPAS) stands out with the aim of further involving families in the contest and the increase in prize-winning works in the ‘Documentary’ and ‘Children’s’ categories. ‘, thus exceeding the 100 awards to be given at the five galas that will take place in Gran Canaria, La Palma, Fuerteventura and Tenerife in June 2023, in addition to the training prizes, consisting of scholarships for film and audiovisual studies at different universities and film schools.

Likewise, the maximum duration of short films is extended to ten minutes, credits included, collects a note from the organization.

On the other hand, special emphasis will be placed on educational content, offering more actions and training materials such as new guides for Mobile Video Editing, Gamification for Script creation and ‘Stop Motion’, among others, while maintaining those for Equality , Sustainable filming or Guidelines for a simple filming.

Likewise, emphasis will be placed on the commitment to attendance with personalized classes on demand on specific subjects such as Screenwriting, Editing, Sound, Production and Interpretation, which are added to the wide range of master classes, tutorials and online workshops that have existed since previous editions and the incorporation of a specialist in sign language.

“In this very special edition we take a further step in the training section with specialized classes in various areas such as scriptwriting, editing or acting. We believe it is essential to reinforce educational centers in those aspects that they need to enrich and that will be reflected later in the final works that they present to the festival”, emphasizes David Cánovas, co-director of the film competition.

In turn, in line with this objective, the ‘Universities’ section of the ‘Cinedfest’ will be promoted by the University of La Laguna, both in the training offer and in the final awards phase.
