The City Council of Tegueste yesterday opened the doors of the first dog park in the municipality. The site is located in an area of the Finca Los Zamorano and has an approximate area of 850 square meters. This is an initiative developed by the Department of Public Services.
The councilor for the area, Ricardo Chico, recalls that the project, whose completion has involved an investment of 39,341 euros, “It will allow dog owners to enjoy a conditioned and safe space for their pets.”
Likewise, the mayor points out that the works carried out have focused on conditioning the land, the construction of concrete walls and placing the perimeter fence, in addition to the installation of a water fountain and benches, among others.
The dog park is located in the town of Tegueste, which will make it easier to access it on foot, although it will have car parks for those who come from more distant neighborhoods and even from other municipalities on the island. Likewise, the facilities have adapted access for people with reduced mobility.
