More than 230 establishments have already joined the new Tenerife Consumption Bonds campaign with which the Cabildo will put bonds for a total value of 600,000 euros on the market to reactivate the sales of small and medium-sized businesses throughout the island, especially those of those municipalities in which there is no similar incentive.
The Minister of Employment, Socioeconomic Development and Foreign Action, Carmen Luz Baso, recalled yesterday that establishments still have until October 15 to join this campaign, with which they can offer their customers discounts of up to 60 euros at no cost for business.
“This is a unique opportunity that will allow them not only to win new customers, but also to retain those they already have, offering special discounts, at zero cost,” added the counselor, who explained that 50% of the cost of the bonus will be paid by the consumer and the other half will be paid by the Cabildo to the business, within a maximum period of two weeks, from the date of purchase.
So far, businesses from 23 municipalities on the island have joined the initiative. To participate, all they have to do is enter the web bonotenerife.es and fill in the registration form. With the aim of facilitating the registration and the necessary procedures for interested businesses, the Insular Foundation for Training, Employment and Business Development (Fifede), responsible for managing the campaign, has set up a telephone service, in the number 922 100 008, with the following hours: from 09:00 to 21:00, Monday to Friday, and from 10:00 to 14:00 on weekends. In addition, inquiries about the program can be made via email.
Likewise, businesses that have already participated in other editions, will be able to take advantage of this new campaign, carrying out a small procedure.
Meanwhile, citizens will be able to start exchanging the bonds as of October 31. Specifically, users will be able to choose between three types of vouchers, for amounts of 10, 30 and 60 euros to make purchases at any of the businesses that have joined.
