Villa gets serious

The Villa Saint Bridgetwho won 2-0 against Tenerife B in the Parque Atlántico – his fiefdom until the improvement works on his field are finished – , reaped the second victory of the season in the Canarian group of Tercera RFEF and placed provisional leader, tied on seven points with Panadería Pulido San Mateo and in the absence of this Sunday’s games.

Alejo, on the verge of half-time, and Álvaro, already in the final stages of the clash, opted for victory in favor of Ángel López’s squad. The Blue and White subsidiary, meanwhile, suffered the second setback in this league start.

In a balanced first half, both teams shared control of the game. Both Villa Santa Brígida and Tenerife B did not want to take risks that would condemn them, and they avoided giving spaces to their rival.

The local team created danger with balls behind the Tenerife defense. Near the quarter of an hour, the satauteños gave their first warning with an action in which Lucas Acosta assisted so that his teammate Josemi connected a Vaseline shot, inside the area, that grazed the left squad.

After the halfway point in the first half, Santi took advantage of an inaccuracy by the visiting defense to face Víctor, but Chicha’s shot crashed into the body of the goalkeeper from Tenerife.

both psychological

In the 30th minute, the visiting team responded with a direct free kick from Raúl, which was stopped by goalkeeper Carlos from Sataut. Already in the final stretch of this period, Villa Santa Brígida took the lead with Alejo’s goal and could go to the locker room with a 2-0 lead if a saving save by Víctorno prevents Santi’s goal

As soon as the second half began, the Satauteños again caressed the 2-0 with a shot by Josemi. The Blue and Whites were able to equalize in the 56th minute, but the referee annulled Dylan’s goal for offside

Tenerife B ruled at that time in the center of the field, although without depth to bring danger to Carlos’s domains. Ángel López’s team waited for their opportunity crouched in their field and his strategy paid off in the 89th minute, with Álvaro making it 2-0.
