SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 29 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The European Group of Magistrates for Mediation (GEMME) in the Canary Islands, in collaboration with the Common Council, has organized a mediation meeting in the Parliament of the Canary Islands with different institutions and associations of relevance in the matter.
The meeting was chaired by the Common Deputy, Rafael Yanes; the first deputy of the Common Council, Felipe Afonso; the magistrate and president of GEMME Europe, Rosalía Fernández, and the territorial coordinator of GEMME in the Canary Islands, Laura Hernández.
Likewise, representatives of the Conflict Mediation and Advice Unit (UNIMAC) of the University of La Laguna, of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Bar, Psychology and Social Work Associations, of the Canarian Association for Intervention and Mediation Family, Educational and Psychosocial ‘+Family’, of the Support Center for Families, of the Association of Mediators of the Canary Islands ‘Mediascan’, of the Canary Association for Mediation and Arbitration (ACMA), of the New Future Association, of the Provincial Court and the College of Property Administrators.
Through this meeting, a meeting forum was reactivated between mediation professionals, with the aim of disseminating among the public the work that is being carried out in the Canary Islands in this area and exchanging and contributing different experiences.
The roadmap of the forum was to bring together the institutions involved in each island and promote periodic actions in a coordinated and concentrated manner over time.
