The children’s student body El Draguillo School, in the Southwest, could get lost in the undergrowth that surrounds the center without any problem, since the height of the grasses far exceeds them. This is how the parents denounce it, but also that the poor state of the court, which is full of cracks, in which some students have already hurt themselves, prevents the development of activities such as recess or sports practice.

These complaints have been collected by the PSOE, which, today, in the Full, will present a motion to clean up the surroundings of the school, as well as the field. The socialist councilor Elena Mateo will be in charge of defending this motion, which will include the participation of the AMPA of the school.

The explanatory statement also refers to the repeated request of the AMPA to be able to use the El Draguillo soccer field when activities are not being carried out and thus be able to organize some acts for the students by the parents themselves, something that until now has been impossible to achieve due to the lack of response.

Thus, the motion requests that the rehabilitation works of the court be carried out so that the students of the center can have its use in the pertinent safety conditions; that the access roads to the center be adapted, within the initiative of safe school itineraries that was already approved in plenary, and that the use of the soccer field for activities of the CEIP and its community be allowed, making it compatible with other sports uses.
