Canary Islands has plunged into the fall. While some still hoped to enjoy a few days of good weather before the official change of season, a DANA approached the Archipelago to such an extent that rainfall became important first in Gran Canaria on Sunday and then in Tenerife on Monday.

The rains, which in some stations exceeded 30 liters per square meter, left behind at least 60 incidents only during the afternoon of yesterday, Monday. The initial forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) is that throughout today Tuesday continue the rainfallalthough they are expected to be weak and occasional and only slightly more intense in the interior areas of the islands with greater relief.

According to the forecast of the Aemet, It will be Wednesday when the DANA finishes disappearing from the Canarian horizon, although some isolated drizzles were still recorded. When will it stop raining then? Well, Meteorology predicts that next Thursday, when the skies of the Islands will be slightly cloudy or clear.

During the next few days the rains will visit our country. It should be noted that the uncertainty is high, but it seems that the largest accumulations between now and the end of the month will occur in points in the extreme north, the Mediterranean area and the western Canary Islands.https://t.co/hOkmlGReOE pic.twitter.com/cLiGjbauvF

Of course, you can’t leave your umbrella and raincoat very far either: on Friday the rains will return, although it will be Saturday when they fall again with intensity. In this way, the Aemet predicts that the weekend will be unleashing a new stormwith the entrance of the rainy front from the south of the Archipelago.

As the days go by, rainfall will be heaviergaining highs from this new weather phenomenon early next week, although prediction models will be more accurate in the coming days.

Aemet recognizes that “the uncertainty is high, but it seems that the largest accumulated between now and the end of the month will occur in points in the extreme north, the Mediterranean area and the western Canary Islands”.
