The drag of the water, caused by the heavy rains in Tenerifehas rendered inoperative the El Gramal bridgein San Cristóbal de La Laguna, as reported on Monday afternoon by the Local Police in the twitter social networkattaching two images of the current state of the area.
“The area is already being cleaned after the effects of the dragging of the water. Please avoid driving on the affected road to facilitate cleaning work,” the tweet reads.
Others incidents caused by DANA on its way through the Canary Islands have been the material damage that has been detected after the flooding of a garage located in La Piterita, and dozens of sewers raised with slight damage to vehicles in La Cuesta, Los Majuelos, San Miguel de Chimisay, Finca España, Valle Jiménez and El Cardonal .
The Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands, due to the episode of rains located in the metropolitan area of the Island, has answered some 60 calls, most of them due to overflow of sewers and , to a lesser extent, due to displacement of containers and obstacles on the road.
