The heavy rains that have fallen this Monday in Tenerife, specifically in La Laguna and Santa Cruz, have left various incidents, especially on the roads of the two municipalities. In the lagoon neighborhood of La Candelaria, specifically in San Juan and Santa Gemma Galgani streets, one of the most striking incidents has occurred: a car has been partially engulfed by a sinkhole that appeared on the road. The Local Police have indicated that vehicles are being removed preventively, the area has been cordoned off and the Roads and Works technicians are already present to analyze the state of the road.
In addition to these incidents, there have also been large puddles on the TF-5, which have caused retention in the sections that join Sant Cruz and La Laguna, and overflows of water, such as at the exit of the Vía de Ronda.
In addition, there has been a blackout of traffic lights in different neighborhoods of the capital and flooding on roads.
