The body of the woman found in the Ofra park on Sunday, September 4, belongs to Celia Rodríguez González, a resident of Tacoronte, the mayor of the municipality, José Daniel Díaz, confirms to this newspaper, adding that according to the autopsy carried out by the Anatomical Institute Forensic causes of death are natural.

Celia, 60 years old, was last seen on the eve of Candelaria, August 14, in the Agua García neighborhood. Three days later, the association SOS Missing He launched an alert with a series of physical characteristics of the woman to facilitate her identification: brown eyes, normal complexion, 1.40 meters tall, short gray hair. She also provides the details of a vehicle: a white Volkswagen Caddy with license plate 0677FDN.

Since then, the Madre del Agua neighborhood association organized several raids To collaborate in the search in Candelaria and in coordination with the Department of Neighborhood and Elderly Associations of the Tacoronte City Council, a search operation was planned in which the Consistory provided transportation, water and supplies for the volunteers.

It is not yet known when the date of death has been dated but apparently it was within 24 hours after his disappearance. It was residents of the area who gave the notice and thanks to this they were able to find her.

According to the information offered to the mayor by the judicial authorities, the tests have been complex because initially the identification by fingerprint has been impossible and it had to be done by DNA because the body was in a high state of decomposition.

“As mayor, I regret the loss of this neighbor,” said José Daniel Díaz, who is in contact with the son of the deceased to be able to process the burial once the judicial process is over.
