The journalist and writer Fernando Delgado Arbelo has found in the archives of the agricultural cooperative of northern Tenerife a photo from 1954 in which you can see the Queen isabel II stop at the exhibitor canary bananas during a visit to an agricultural fair.
It is an image of the Queen, who died last Thursday, September 8, the year after her coronation when she went to visit the Food Fair organized at the Olympia Hall in London.
The image of Isabel II, who at that time was just 28 years old, captures the moment in which the monarch stands before the stand of the Agricultural Federation of the North of Tenerife (FAST) and observe the figure made entirely with fruits from Tenerife, such as lemons, oranges, pumpkin and a watermelon as well as a banana pineapple.
