Forest fire alert ends.

Forest fire alert ends.
LP / DLP

The General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands has concluded the declaration of alert for forest fires in La Gomera, Gran Canaria, El Hierro and Tenerife.

It is a decision adopted based on the weather forecast and in application of the Infoca (Special Plan for Civil Protection and Emergency Assistance for Forest Fires of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands).

However, the regional Executive has recalled that the pre-alert for the western islands and Gran Canaria is still in force due to times of high danger of forest fires (bulletin 4/2021 / INFOCA), as well as the emergency at Level 0 due to the Arico fire (Tenerife).
