Titsa rearranges routes and frequencies to adapt to the new winter demand

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep. 9 (EUROPE PRESS) –

Transportes Interurbanos de Tenerife (Titsa) will adjust its offer of services to winter demand starting next Monday to adapt to the start of activity in educational centers and the end of summer.

The island councilor for Mobility and president of Titsa, Enrique Arriaga, explains that these changes are intended to adapt the offer of services to the demand that is generated with the return of vacations and the beginning of classes in schools and institutes.

“In this way, we adapt the service to the needs of the users so that the bus is the first option of the people of Tenerife compared to the private vehicle,” he highlights in a note.

With the new timetable, lines 014 and 015, which connect Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna, will have more frequencies at peak hours on weekdays and there will be services every 10 or 15 minutes.

The 050 (La Laguna-Tegueste-Bajamar-Punta del Hidalgo) and the 105 (Santa Cruz de Tenerife-La Punta), now direct via the Vía de Ronda, return to their winter schedules with minor adjustments and modifications to their route.

Titsa also recalls that the 105 runs along the Vía de Ronda, which allows a saving of 15 minutes of travel.

In addition, the route stops at Las Quinteras, located just 100 meters from the La Laguna Town Hall and the Plaza del Adelantado, allowing a more direct connection between that area and the capital or the coastal region of La Laguna.

From Santa Cruz de Tenerife, line 105 passes through Altagay, which allows travelers to reach that place without having to do it on foot as before.

Lines 138 and 139 (Santa Cruz de Tenerife Radazul-Tabaiba Interchange) and 122 (Santa Cruz de Tenerife – Candelaria), are also adjusted to winter timetables, as are those from Tacoronte to Mesa del Mar (021) and El Pris (023), which leads to a reduction in frequencies by reducing demand towards these coastal areas.

With a view to the start of classes at the University of La Laguna, the transport company will recover the special service between faculties on line 610.

Likewise, expeditions are added on different routes in the southern zone to attend the entrances and exits of the institutes. In this way, the lines that connect with IES Los Cristianos (418, 424, 447, 471, 473, 483), IES Adeje and IES El Galeón (417, 447, 471,473), IES Granadilla (35, 408, 410, 412, 416, 419, 430, 463, 484), IES Guía Isora (492), IES Las Galletas (470, 486), IES Médano (411, 470), IES San Miguel (484, 486) and IES Tamaimo (461, 462).

Likewise, the 108, which joins the link between Los Realejos and the interchange in the capital, adds trips in some hours of the morning from La Orotava and at noon from Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Likewise, reinforcements were maintained until October in the lines of Teno (369), Masca (355) and Las Portelas (366).

CHANGES IN URBAN SERVICES

With the new schedule, in the urban service of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the frequency of lines 934 (Intercambiador-Taco-Santa María del Mar-Añaza-Intercambiador) and 905 (Muelle Norte-Ofra) is increased during peak hours, with services every 10 minutes.

On the other hand, the frequency of line 910 (Interchanger-Playa Las Teresitas) is reduced on weekdays and weekends, although it will have trips every 10 minutes.
