SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 8 Sep. (EUROPE PRESS) –
Queen Letizia inaugurates this Friday in La Palma the new school year with an act that will take place at the Princesa Acerina school in Los Llanos de Aridane, which brings together students from the schools of Los Campitos and Todoque and the CEIP María Milagros Acosta, affected by lava from the Cumbre Vieja eruption.
The day will begin at 12:30 p.m. and will also include the presence, among others, of the Minister of Education and Universities, Pilar Alegría, the president of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, and the president of the Cabildo, Mariano Hernández.
The queen visited the island for the last time in March, in the company of King Felipe VI, on the occasion of a tribute to the exemplary nature and resistance of palm society in the face of the volcanic eruption.
