Metrotenerife, the transport company of the Cabildo de Tenerife, joins the commercial and leisure initiative ‘Come to Santa Cruz’ that will take place this weekend in the capital of Tenerife in such a way that Line 1 of the tram will provide service every 10 minutes on Saturday and every 12 minutes on Sunday for most of both days.
Enrique Arriaga, island councilor for Mobility and president of Metrotenerife, highlights in a note that “the tram joins the first post-covid edition of ‘Come to Santa Cruz’, offering a competitive service for the population that wants to get to the capital city, without having to worry about the private vehicle”.
It also highlights that it is a form of transport that “since the beginning of this month is even more affordable with the reduction in the prices of the main passes and tickets for regular users.”
On Saturday Line 1 trams will circulate every 10 minutes from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and for Sunday, a frequency of 12 minutes between 11:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. has been scheduled.
Outside these hours, Line 1 will continue to operate with the usual weekend hours and intervals.
Metrotenerife reminds that the use of a mask is still mandatory on board the trams.
