SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep. 6 (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands reports this Tuesday that since the last data update last Friday, 190 new positives in covid-19 have been recorded in the archipelago among people over 60 years of age, which is the population group at that is followed up after the acute phase of the pandemic has passed.
Therefore, the accumulated number of coronavirus cases among this group amounts to 96,304 people in the Canary Islands.
Thus, the Cumulative Incidence for this age group at 14 days stands at 206.13 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 94.28.
Currently, in the archipelago there are 99 people admitted for coronavirus, of which five are in the ICU and the rest, 94, on the ward.
On the other hand, in the last four days there have been four deaths, of which two were reported in Gran Canaria, one in Tenerife and one in La Palma, aged between 66 and 89. All the people had previous pathologies and were in hospital admission.
