CEOE-Tenerife has admitted this Friday a “rebound” in job creation in August after the data for July, especially in the services sector, coinciding with the summer season, but has warned that a “complicated autumn” is ahead when the urge to travel ends.
“This data could be expected, because after a year of restrictions derived from the pandemic, many people have chosen to go out and travel, despite the uncertainty and lack of confidence that the armed conflict and the energy crisis have caused,” says the employer in a note.
Faced with this situation, they propose supporting job generators and continuing to advance in the reinforcement of mechanisms that facilitate the adjustment between the supply and demand for employment, such as active employment policies, mobility and training.
“We are facing worrying data that point to a slowdown, which forces us to increase efforts in terms of flexibility, contain inflation and tax pressure on both workers and employers,” he indicates.
