The National Police has arrested a 27-year-old man in La Laguna (Tenerife) as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of serious threats by intimidating a neighbor and his son carrying a compressed air rifle and a large machete on public roads .
The detainee is known from the Los Andenes area, in La Laguna, since he had been disturbing the residents of the neighborhood for some time, police sources detail.
On this occasion, as a result of disagreements with another man, he went out into the street armed with a real-looking compressed air rifle and a machete, shouting that he was going to kill him and his 15-year-old son, addressing to both, who were at their home and pointing the gun at them.
The events caused “strong fear and insecurity” in the neighborhood, which is why the National Police initiated the necessary procedures to identify the author and locate him, tasks that were made easier by the fact that the complainant presented a “very explicit” video. Once located, he was arrested and brought to justice.
The arrested person has several arrests for coercion, robbery with force and even a sexual assault.
The National Police recalls that the weapons seized from this individual require a permit and “in no case” can they be used or displayed on public roads.
