SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 27 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The crew of a flight that decided to abort the takeoff maneuver for safety reasons has left the aircraft blocking a runway at Tenerife South Airport, which has caused delays and diversions to other airport facilities.
As reported by air traffic controllers through their official Twitter profile, it seems that the brakes would have reached a high temperature that caused them to lock and left the plane immobilized.
For its part, it is expected that the device will have to be towed to remove it from the runway, while Eurocontrol has chosen not to authorize takeoffs to Tenerife South until the problem can be solved.
