The National Police has arrested a 38-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of a dozen robberies with force in establishments in Los Cristianos in the last two weeks, which had generated significant social alarm among the owners and owners of the premises.
In the last fifteen days, the National Police had received numerous very similar complaints from people in charge of establishments in which they had entered to steal at night by forcing the entrance door or breaking the shop window, taking money from the cash register, and all within a radius of no more than two kilometers.
Given this situation, the National Police explained that a security device was established, with special emphasis on the prevention of similar events and the search for the possible perpetrator and, in parallel, the appropriate investigations of each of the reported cases were carried out. .
In all of them the same ‘modus operandi’ was observed and in the premises that had security cameras, a man with the same characteristics.
This culminated in the location of the alleged perpetrator while he was fleeing one of the robberies.
The detainee coincided in physiognomy and physical details with what was seen in the camera recordings and, in addition, his fingerprints and biological records coincided in several of them.
Thus, nine cases could be attributed to this man, who had a police record for attacking the authority and robbery with force, and other events for which he is probably also responsible continue to be investigated.
The author was brought to justice and subsequently released pending trial.
