SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 18 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 63-year-old woman died this Thursday, while a 63-year-old man was moderately injured after falling into the water at Los Gigantes Sports Port, in the municipality of Santiago del Teide (Tenerife). , as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center of the Canary Islands 112.
The events occurred around 12:04 p.m. this Thursday and a boat has alerted 112 that they had rescued two people who had fallen into the water and were transferring them to the port.
Once in the port, the staff of the Canary Emergency Service (SUC), in collaboration with doctors and nurses from the Primary Care centers of Puerto Santiago and Alcalá, could only confirm the death of the woman; while the man was found to have moderate chest trauma, for which he was transferred in a medical ambulance to the Hospital Universitario Hospiten Sur.
At the scene of the incident, members of the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium appeared, who collaborated with the emergency services, and Civil Guard agents who instructed the corresponding proceedings and took charge of the body until the arrival of the judicial authority.
