The National Police has arrested a 30-year-old man for an attack against the authority after he falsely warned of a possible bomb in La Laguna (Tenerife) and attacked one of the agents who came to the area, all under the effects of the effects of narcotic substances with probable signs of visual and auditory hallucinations.
This has been reported by the Superior Police Headquarters of the Canary Islands, which adds that the events took place on the night of August 17, when officials received an alert in which the owner of a motorcycle parked on the street indicated that a possible explosive device in a package that was on it.
The agents went to the scene and found a man in a state of agitation, speaking very loudly and in an aggressive attitude towards them, for which they urged him to calm down and identify himself but, far from obeying, the individual confronted them. with the agents and tried to seize their weapons.
Failing to do so, he fled, bumping into another policeman on the road who had come to inspect the area where the motorcycle and the possible device were parked, finding nothing.
In this sense, once in front of the cash, he attacked him in a surprising way, throwing him to the ground and causing minor injuries, while the other two agents immediately proceeded to arrest the man, requiring the application of the minimum force necessary to reduce it.
In addition, the detainee, who was still in a very aggressive attitude, caused injuries to himself and damage to the vehicle by hitting it, requiring his transfer to a medical center where it was found that the aggressor was under the influence of substances. narcotics.
