The pleasant temperatures of these days in the Canary Islands will once again give way to strong heat. Ministry of Health of Canary Islands Governmentthrough the General Directorate of Public Health, activate different health risk warnings between August 20 and 23 in different municipalities Gran Canaria, Tenerife Y La Gomera. In these dates there is forecast of simultaneous exceeding of the threshold temperatures: 32 degrees maximum and 24 minimumestablished in the Preventive Action Plan for the Effects of Excessive Temperatures on Health.
The affected municipalities are the following:
Gran Canaria
The orange notice (medium risk) will be activated in the municipalities of San Bartolome de Tirajana and Santa Lucia de Tirajana between August 20 and 23, and in The Village of San Nicolás and Mogán between August 20 and 22.
The yellow notice (low risk) in the municipalities of Aguimes and Ingenio on August 20 and 21, and in Artenara, Tejeda, Valsequillo and the Vega de San Mateo On August 21.
Tenerife
In Tenerife they will be in yellow warning (low risk) in the municipalities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Candelaria, Guimar Y San Miguel de Abona On August 21.
La Gomera
On the island of La Gomera, the yellow warning (low risk) will be activated in the municipality of San Sebastian de la Gomera On August 21.
