These new positives bring the confirmed cases to 141 since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert, of which 84 were detected in Gran Canaria, 51 in Tenerife, four in Fuerteventura, one in The Palm and another in Lanzarote.
All active cases have mild symptoms and remain in home isolation receiving follow-up by Primary Care.
In this way, the confirmed and notified cases in the Canary Islands since the beginning of the alert and until today are as follows:
- 141 confirmed cases, 84 in Gran Canaria, 51 in Tenerife, four in Fuerteventura, one in La Palma and one in Lanzarote.
- a likely casepending confirmation, notified in Tenerife.
- seven suspected casespending confirmation, three notified in Tenerife, two in Gran Canaria and two in Lanzarote.
The protocol of the Ministry of Health classifies cases between probable and suspected depending on whether the patient meets clinical criteria and epidemiological criteria (probable cases) or if it only presents clinical criteria and in such a case it is considered a suspected case.
