Colorful, original, some with a complex elaboration and others simply decorated with flowers or fruit. This is how the headdresses that hundreds of people wore yesterday in the popular verbena of La Pamelaat the core of tejinawithin the framework of the Fiestas in honor of San Bartolomé, which attracts a large audience every year.
The tejineros enjoyed one of the most anticipated celebrations that returned with all its splendor after two years interrupted by the pandemic on a day in which the good weather accompanied at all times. The party, which took place like every year in the church square, began around 3:00 p.m. and lasted until 9:30 p.m., an hour and a half longer than expected.
For the fourth year, the Festival Commission of San Bartolomé decided to keep this verbena on August 15, coinciding with the festival of Candelaria, instead of being held at the end of the month, together with the act of the Descuelgue de los Corazones, as it had been the traditional, with the aim that the act of Descuelgue does not lose lucidity by coinciding with this festival.
