The website will be designed by the Grupo CIO-Compañía de las Islas Occidental, a company that runs the Bahía del Duque Hotel, among other hotels, and Fuentealta water. The project, which was presented by the CIO Director of Corporate Responsibility, Mónica Rumeu, will be launched in a short space of time after an agreement has been signed between this organization – which will assume the cost and hosting service of the web domain and will donate the hours of marketing work, communication and design–, the Tenerife Isla Solidaria program –managed by Sinpromi– and the Spanish Confederation of Entrepreneurs in the province (CEOE Tenerife).
The Minister of Social Action, Marián Franquet, appreciated the fact that this initiative has arisen from the business sector, through CIO, «and from there we began to organize the puzzle that will allow us to order, organize and optimize the actions of the business world with the reality of the third sector ». Rumeu explained that the Tenerife Solidarity Alliance It will be a network that brings together the island’s companies to «join forces and meet the needs of the groups that need it most, through the meeting of organizations that, in coordination with the Cabildo de Tenerife, will connect with the entities that have it of projects, thus actively creating collaborations ».
For his part, the CEOE Tenerife CEO, Eduardo Bezares, thanked both the CIO and the Cabildo for “the effort” to carry out the project, in which the employers will participate by raising awareness and making the initiative known among its associates and social communication channels. Bezares added that “companies must commit to a responsible management model and prioritize people to continue with our commitment to lead the future of the Canary Islands; hence the importance of making corporate social responsibility an element of competitiveness and sustainability ”.
