The councilor responsible for the area of Security, Local Police and Civil Protection, Julio Navarro (PSOE), highlights that “this new edition of the conference will be more limited than in its first appointment, not only because of the pandemic, but also because of the reduction in space for celebration, since the square will be fenced ». However, he specified that “the assistance will be the same, since we will have the Seprona, the Traffic Detachment and the Civil Guard Citizen Security Patrol; the UME, which this year will come with the Canine Rescue Unit, and several vehicles; Red Cross, which will contribute two vehicles, one of them a classic ambulance, which will represent knowing the evolution of emergency methods over the last decades ”.
Navarro has trusted that this new appointment with security and emergencies “will be the prelude to next year, in which we hope to be able to put into practice exercises and drills of the different participants”. In his opinion, this appointment is also “a tribute to the security forces for their protection work and also represents an opportunity for many young people who can have in this meeting an approach to professions that may be their vocation.”
