SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug. 6 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de La Gomera closes next Tuesday, August 9, the deadline for submitting applications to participate in the call for tests to obtain the artisan card. Applications can be submitted both at the General Registry and through the electronic headquarters of the Island Council.
The tests, whose dates will be known soon, will consist of two parts; one theoretical and one practical. In both, the applicants will have to show their skills on the different modalities for which they compete.
With this certification, professionals in the sector will be able to access different fairs and events, in addition to opting for public incentives granted by the Institution. Miguel Melo, Minister of Crafts, maintains that it is “a unique opportunity to expand and strengthen a sector that currently has more than 150 professionals who already have a craftsman’s card on the island.”
Likewise, this initiative is intended to give continuity and encourage the conservation of artisan trades, as well as to promote commercial revitalization and business activity to favor the island’s economic fabric and its diversification.
