The island-to-island weather for this Saturday in the Canary Islands

Canary Islands wait this Saturday a day without major changes in the maximum and minimum temperatures that may be reached by 30-32ºC in most of the islandswhere they will also experience light haze episodesespecially in height, according to the forecast of the Meteorology Statal Agency (Aemet).

At sea, north or northeast component winds of force 5 or 6 are expected, intensifying to 7 offshore as well as storm surge and strong swell that may be thick at some points.

LANZAROTE

On the northwest slope cloudy intervals opening clear during the afternoon. In the rest, predominance of slightly cloudy or clear skies, except for intervals of medium and high clouds during the first half of the day. Slight haze in height, remitting in the last hours. Temperatures unchanged, although 30 ºC may be reached locally in areas of the southeast slope. Northeast wind, more intense in interior areas of the southern half.

FUERTEVENTURA

Predominance of slightly cloudy or clear skies, with some cloudy interval of low clouds in the first and last hours, and intervals of medium and high clouds during the first half of the day. Slight haze in height, remitting in the last hours. Unchanged temperatures; 30-32 ºC can be reached in inland and southern areas. Northeast wind, more intense in the southeast and on the southern slopes of the Jandía peninsula.

GRAND CANARY

On the north coast, cloudy intervals, with a predominance of cloudy skies in the early and late hours. In the rest, predominance of slightly cloudy or clear skies, with some intervals of medium and high clouds during the first half of the day. Slight haze in height, remitting in the last hours. Temperatures with little change. 36 ºC will be reached in summits and middle ranges to the south, east and west, without ruling out that locally they will exceed 37 ºC, as well as 30 ºC in north-facing middle areas. Northeast wind, with strong intervals on the northwest and southeast slopes, with a low probability of very strong occasional gusts, especially during the afternoon. In summits light wind of variable direction and breezes in southwest coasts.

TENERIFE

On the north coast and low areas of the northeast, cloudy intervals with clear openings during the afternoon. In the rest, predominance of slightly cloudy or clear skies. The presence of light haze in height is not ruled out. Unchanged or slightly rising temperatures, especially in interior areas; Local temperatures of 32-34 ºC can be reached in middle areas facing south, east and west. Northeast wind, with strong intervals in the extreme west and the southeast slope. In summits light wind of variable direction and breezes in west coasts.

LA GOMERA

On the north coast, cloudy intervals, with the opening of some clearings during the afternoon. In the rest, predominance of slightly cloudy or clear skies. The presence of light haze in height is not ruled out. Temperatures with little change; temperatures of 32 -34 ºC may be reached on summits and midlands facing south and west, without ruling out that 34 ºC may be exceeded locally. Northeast wind, with strong intervals on the northwest and east slopes, where very strong occasional gusts could occur with little probability, especially in the last hours. Breezes on the southwest coast.

THE PALM

On the northeast and east coast, cloudy intervals with clear openings during the central hours. In the rest, predominance of slightly cloudy or clear skies. Maximum temperatures on the rise in high areas, in the rest, with few changes. It may exceed 34 ºC on summits, and reach or exceed 32-34 ºC locally in areas facing west. Northeast wind, with strong intervals on the northwest and southeast slopes. In summits light wind of variable direction and breezes in coasts of the west.

THE IRON

Predominance of slightly cloudy or clear skies except for an occasional interval on the northeast coast. The presence of light haze in height is not ruled out. Temperatures in general with little change; temperatures of 32 -34 ºC may be reached on summits and midlands facing south and west, without ruling out that 34 ºC may be exceeded locally. Northeast wind, more intense in the extreme west and the southeast slope. Breezes on the southwest coast.
