The Governing Council of the Cabildo de Tenerife gave its approval to the tender for the construction of a roundabout on the Cuesta de la Villa, with an external diameter of 30 meters and three branches, which improves the intersection of the TF-217 with the access of the TF-5.
The First Vice President and Minister of Roads, Enrique Arriaga, recalls that in this enclave there are “serious traffic jams, so we believe that this action, demanded for some time, will represent a significant improvement.”
Enrique Arriaga indicates that the budget to carry out these works is 597,219 euros, an amount of which the Cabildo de Tenerife will contribute 75%, while the rest of the financing is provided by the Santa Úrsula City Council. An infrastructure that will give fluidity and security to this crossing, which connects with the TF-5.
The counselor explains that the result of the work will give fluidity to the TF-217 by facilitating the intersection of the intersection, increasing the capacity at the intersection and reducing the risk of accidents. An average of 3,530 vehicles circulate on this road daily.
