SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 30 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife has condemned the murder for gender violence that occurred yesterday Friday in Santa Cruz. The victim, a 34-year-old woman, was stabbed by her ex-partner, who has already been arrested.
The Corporation plans to convene a rejection rally next Monday at 11:00 a.m. in front of the gates of the Insular Palace to show the unanimous rejection of violence and the support and solidarity of their relatives and close people.
The Island Corporation insists on the need to make citizens aware that this is a permanent struggle, which never ends, which involves educating people to respect human rights and to live free of machismo.
According to the information available, there is no evidence that the victim went to the specialized services of the Cabildo. The Cabildo de Tenerife reminds that the network of regional offices and the emergency numbers 112 and 016 are available to all women.
