Six people have had to be rescued from the sea this Friday in the south of Tenerife after they could not return to shore due to the state of the sea. One of these people, a 29-year-old man, has died, according to the 1-1-2 Emergency and Security Coordination Center.
The events occurred on the beach of Callao Salvaje, in the municipality of Adeje, when, minutes before 1:00 p.m., several alerts were received in the 1-1-2 operating room indicating that there were five or six people in distress at sea.
1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources. The GES helicopter rescued two of these people: a 29-year-old man who was in cardiac arrest, who was evacuated to the Callao Salvaje viewpoint, and a 28-year-old man with symptoms of drowning, who was transferred to the Fire Department helipad. of Adeje and later evacuated to the aforementioned hospital.
The SUC staff who were at the Mirador de Callao Salvaje confirmed that the 29-year-old bather was in cardiorespiratory arrest and performed advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation without success, confirming his death.
On the other hand, the health team displaced to the Adeje helipad assisted the 28-year-old man and transferred him to a health center.
Salvamento Marítimo rescued four other people in good general condition who did not require medical assistance.
The Local Police and Beach Rescue collaborated in the rescue tasks, while the Civil Guard and Firefighters of the Consortium collaborated with the emergency services.
