SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 27. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 27-year-old man has been arrested after being reduced by an off-duty national police officer when he beat his partner, a 34-year-old woman, in the nightlife area of the San Telmo Shopping Center in the town of Adeje, in the south from Tenerife.
The agent was enjoying himself with some friends when he realized that, separated from the place where they were, a man beat a woman until she fell. Far from stopping, once on the ground he had continued with her aggression, kicking her several times.
The national police officer, identifying himself as such, ran to the place where the attack was taking place to prevent the individual from continuing to attack the woman, who was ultimately his current partner.
Since the blows did not stop, the agent reduced the aggressor, separating him from his victim. Next, he requested the presence of the National Police patrols to attend to the woman and arrest the alleged perpetrator of the crime.
Once at the scene, agents of the National Police attended the victim and collected her first manifestations while proceeding to arrest her partner, a 27-year-old man with no police record, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of gender violence.
The detainee, together with the report prepared for this purpose, was placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority. The actions were carried out by national police officers from the Provincial Police Station of the National Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
