The Tenerife GG fair registers more than 15,500 visits in its first edition

Tenerife GG registers more than 15,500 visits in its first edition. The technology fair, held last week at the Recinto Ferial and in the Auditorio de Tenerife, manages to position itself as one of the most important on the islands. LAN Zone, high-level competitions, 150 activities and 50 stalls were part of the offer of this event dedicated to video games, leisure and technology, in which more than 50,000 euros in prizes were distributed.

The technology, esports and video games event organized by the Canarian Esports League HiperDino, has finished its first edition with more than 15,500 registered visits, between participants and visitors. The organization has had the collaboration of HiperDino and the Cabildo de Tenerife.

The island councilor for Innovation, Enrique Arriaga, points out that “this first edition has been a complete success, not only with the public, with a full venue every day, but also with regard to companies.” He values that “great experts in the field of gaming gathered in the Auditorium and celebrated the EBLive Awards, with more than 25,000 followers via streaming”,

Tenerife has proven to be “a fantastic place” for large multinationals that develop video games or for the creation of new companies to establish themselves. “A very important employment niche for our young people,” adds Enrique Arriaga.

The director of the Department of Marketing and Communication of HiperDino, Carlos García, affirms: “The reality has exceeded our expectations and I have been able to verify the number of followers that the sector moves”.

The person in charge of the Canarian Esports HiperDino League, Antonio Cabrera, declares that «Tenerife GG 2022 has been amazing. It is the result of very hard work, of many people enthusiastic about starting a project that goes beyond a social event. He believes that “it can contribute to boosting the economic and professional fabric.” He summarizes: «Families have passed here to have fun, professionals, companies and citizens with a desire to train. All this promoted by HiperDino, the Cabildo de Tenerife and the collaborating brands. The dream start of something that we hope will be very big.
